In its most basic sense, birding, or bird watching, is the recreational hobby of observing species of wild birds, including their physical characteristics and behavior. There are more than 50 million birders in the United States and millions more throughout the world, making birding one of the most popular and most rapidly growing hobbies in the world.

2 Questions
First of all, are we meeting tonight?
Second question: Which web sites will you guys be evaluating? The instructions for this assignment are kind of confusing, do we each evaluate one and then combine them? Or each evaluate three?
No, I don't think we're meeting tonight. I think we should meet either next week or the following week to work on our group project. For this week's assignment, each group member is required to evaluate three websites related to our topic and then submit the assignment through Elearning. I'm using the following websites for this assignment:
Ok because the instructions make it sound like we're supposed to each do one and then combine them. I'm going to email her just to make sure. For this assignment, I'm going to use:
Sorry ladies, I don't have much time to do work for this class until the weekend. If we want to get together, it would be really helpful to me if I knew by Sunday evening of that week if at all possible, please. Anyway, I will be evaluating the following 3 websites:
The Michigan-specific page of http://fatbirder.com/ http://birds.cornell.edu/ http://mibirdingnetwork.com/
I won't be available on Sunday, September 28th or Sunday, October 5th. Maybe Kristine and I can meet up sometime during the week to work on our group project and then you two can meet whenever is convenient for you.
Sorry, I didn't mean that I wanted to meet on a Sunday. I was just saying that I can probably work out a Thursday evening, but will need to know BY the Sunday evening before if we are going to make plans to meet on Thursday of that week. So if we want to meet next Thursday, the 25th, I would need to have that planned by this Sunday evening, the 21st. Sorry I can't be a little more flexible, we have sports activities every night of the week and only one vehicle, so my husband and I would need the time to figure out how to fit everything in :)
Sure! We can reserve a study room in the Education Library, too. Would either of you be interested in doing that? I can put in the request on Tuesday morning.
Also, I realized my last website was actually totally not appropriate for this assignment, so I'm doing the national geographic website for birding instead! Just keeping y'all in the loop.
Thank you! I think the purpose of this assignment is to identify websites that would/would not be appropriate for students to use in the classroom when researching a topic. You could probably still use that website but mention in your web evaluation what you discovered.

DeleteOh! I apologize for misunderstanding your comment. I'm available to meet this upcoming Thursday, September 25th after 6:00 p.m.
DeleteI'm also free this Thursday evening!
DeleteShould we plan on Thursday at 7:30 then? Meet outside the library in Sangren?
