I created this concept map using the idea that we could produce a brochure and bird guide of the species in Kalamazoo County. If you have a different idea, please comment below so that we can move forward with our group project. I have a list of other questions and details that can be added to the second draft of our concept map, too. What do you think?

The image is somewhat blurry as I converted it from a PDF file.
ReplyDeleteLooks great! We can incorporate some of Kelli's ideas and then have it all culminate in the final brochure. I think that would work out really well. Good job!
ReplyDeleteI agree! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI like your idea of the brochure and bird guide ... however, I do not see anywhere on your map where you are presenting anything to an audience of family, friends and community members. This is required in PBL.
ReplyDeleteWhen I created the concept map, it was my assumption that the brochure and bird guide would be presented to the community if they were to visit a county park, for example. I can revise the first draft to include that information. My group will add more information into the second draft of our concept map, as well. Will we be able to earn the points back that we lost on this assignment?
ReplyDeleteRevise first concept map, post it as Revised 1st Concept Map and then email when it is done. Then you will receive more points.
DeleteIf we want to expand on the brochure idea for the final project, I was thinking something along the lines of a community event where they plant a bird garden the students have planned based on the local bird habitats and migration routes of other birds. That way the students could also write letters to greenhouses and tree nurseries asking for donations. Maybe the brochure could be a take-home for community participants on how they could help local bird populations?
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea, Kelli! There are several project options that we can create based upon our topic.
